How can I illuminate my garage door at night?
LED light strips not only set the scene for the garage door, but also serve your security by deterring burglars, for example. Motion detectors or a timer are particularly helpful here. The lighting can be controlled via app or hand-held transmitter, both in combination with the door movement and independently of it.

What happens if I don't look at my garage door when I'm operating it?
Don't worry: even if you can't see your door while you're closing it remotely, accidents can still be avoided. The "Easy" photocell ensures this. It recognises people or obstacles quickly and reliably and stops the door immediately if necessary.
Into the garage in the event of a power failure
How do I get into the garage if the power fails?
Thanks to the Novoferm Extra 315 emergency release, you can open your door without any problems in the event of a power failure. You can always open the door manually using a key. For this purpose, the door has a security profile half cylinder, which is protected from the weather by a cover flap during long periods of non-use.

Stop width:
also known as the side stop. The distance from the construction gauge width to the garage wall or from the construction gauge height to the ceiling.
Construction gauge width(BRB):
The width of the garage opening, measured from wall edge to wall edge. The BRB is an important ordering dimension for the door.
Construction height(BRH):
The height of the garage opening, measured from the lower edge of the lintel to the upper edge of the finished floor (OFF). The second important door ordering dimension.
Floor clearance:
In many up-and-over garage doors, a stop profile for the door leaf is embedded in the floor. The dimension by which it protrudes into the floor is called the floor recess. In garages with a floor recess, the ceiling height and headroom are slightly reduced.
Insertion depth:
corresponds to the space required for door installation in the garage, measured from the rear edge of the wall opening to the end of the guide rails.
Headroom:
The actual headroom of the passage when the garage door is open. For power-operated sectional doors, the headroom corresponds to the full installation height; for manually operated doors, it is reduced by 50 mm.
Lintel height:
the distance from the top edge of the garage opening to the ceiling.

Construction dimensionwidth (BRB):
indicates the width of the wall opening intended for the door. It is measured from the right to the left edge of the wall.
Construction reference dimension height (BRH):
refers to the height of the wall opening intended for the door. It is measured from the bottom edge of the lintel (top edge of the wall) to the top edge of the finished floor (OFF).
Lintel:
Dimension from the top edge of the door opening to the room ceiling.
Clear passage:
designates the opening actually available when the door is installed.
Clear passageheight:
is measured from the top edge of the finished floor to the bottom edge of the frame at the top.
Clear passage width:
is measured between the right and left edges of the frame.
DIN direction of the door:
Doors are always available right or left hinged. This means:
DIN left: Standing in front of the closed door, the door hinges can be seen on the left-hand side of the door.
DIN right: Standing in front of the closed door, the door hinges can be seen on the right-hand side of the door.
Hinge/hinges:
Hinges form the connection or suspension between the door and frame, often also referred to as a hinge.

What is where with gates?

1. Engagement-protected deflection pulley
The steel cables run vertically into the angled frame via engagement-protected, ball-bearing mounted deflection pulleys with a U-shaped pulley holder. This saves space in height, in contrast to the torsion spring in front.
2. rope holder
The new rope holder with the wire rope holder ensures that the ropes run safely in the angled frame without touching the insulated section. The separate door leaf guide ensures an optimum closing position for the door leaf.
3. integrated toothed belt fastening
The mould end piece includes a secure fastening for the maintenance-free NovoPort® toothed belt.
4. multiple tension spring assemblies
For tension spring doors: The spring is adjusted at the upper end of the spring assembly. Vertical extension springs allow low installation depths and require little space.
5. NovoPort® - Unique & flexible
The NovoPort® operator system ensures maximum convenience during operation and installation. The motor is not fixed to the ceiling like conventional operators, but is simply integrated into the side door track - on the right or left, depending on the structural conditions.
6. finger pinch protection
The design of the sections and hinges prevents pinch points on the door leaf from the outset - from the inside and outside.
7. finger trap protection and internal cable guide
The angled frames largely prevent finger trapping between the door leaf and frame. Internal suspension cables minimise the risk of injury and ensure maximum functional reliability.

4Maximum functional safety
Powerful triple tension spring assemblies ensure "feather-light" ease of operation with maximum safety: even if a spring were to break, it would not be able to spring away because it is firmly screwed in at the top and bottom. In addition, the remaining springs would hold the door securely in place.
5. Additional property protection
The floor-independent horizontal locking system with solid bolts in the side frames is tamper-proof because it cannot be reached from the outside, even with tools.
